Constructed by Roskyle, this bespoke new-build residence was delivered following the complete demolition of the existing dwelling, allowing for a carefully planned, energy-efficient home that balances traditional architectural language with refined contemporary detailing. From the outset, the project required close coordination to meet the client’s priorities of privacy, functionality, and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living.
The main house comprises a generous five-bedroom layout arranged around expansive open-plan living spaces. Large-scale glazing and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors were precisely installed to maximise natural light, frame garden views, and create a seamless transition to outdoor entertaining areas and the swimming pool. Careful structural planning and sequencing were essential to achieve the openness of these spaces while maintaining performance, comfort, and build quality.
A significant element of the project involved the integration of extensive landscaping works. Roskyle coordinated the construction of covered alfresco areas and external amenities alongside the main build, ensuring the gardens function as a private retreat while complementing the architecture and enhancing the overall sense of enclosure.
Above the garage, a self-contained extension was constructed to provide additional guest accommodation, including a bedroom, living space, and kitchen. This element was seamlessly integrated into the overall form of the house, maintaining consistency in materials, detailing, and performance standards.
Located within a Residential Area of Exceptional Character, the project required careful attention to planning compliance. The new home was constructed to respect the established scale, frontage, and rhythm of neighbouring properties, while existing boundary trees and hedging were retained and enhanced to preserve privacy and soften the building’s presence within its setting.
This project reflects Roskyle’s expertise in delivering high-quality, complex residential builds—where careful construction, attention to detail, and coordination across architecture, landscape, and planning requirements are key to achieving an exceptional finished home.
